Being ‘Nice” or Being a Victim (sex work)

Recently, I was reading some sex worker forum posts where a woman was complaining about a ‘stalker’ issue and although she never asked a question or advice, she did receive many responses.
First of all, when you post in a forum designed to ‘help’ it’s best to ask a question or ask for advice directly related to your issue…and get to it asap.

One of the responses prompted this from the original post(er)

“I believe in treating people the way I wish to be treated”

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN TREATING OTHERS KINDLY AND BEING A WILLING VICTIM

Sex work can be dangerous, difficult and stressful on a good day, but to ‘be kind’ to someone who is harassing you is not part of your job!  It is NOT your responsibility to be the RED CROSS for every fucker out there who has personality disorders such as, fixations, narcissistic tendencies, gas-lighters, abusive pricks with anger issues or guys who just can’t let go of a good thing and separate paid for sex entertainment from their everyday life.

YOU ARE THERE TO MAKE A LIVING AND DO SOMETHING YOU ENJOY [FOR CUSTOMERS WHO PAY!]

You don’t owe anyone anything.  You should be polite and professional to your awesome paying customers, and friendly more than average to your favorites, but that’s all you owe yourself or them.

BEING NICE:

It’s okay to pick up a stray dog and take it to a rescue shelter and it’s okay to open doors for others, it is NOT OKAY TO PUT UP WITH MENTALLY ILL ABUSIVE MEN WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR ONLINE AVAILABILITY!

1.Skype has options to block anyone and also has options to “only allow people on your contacts list”

2. NiteFlirt has a block option, use it.  If the customer changes his screen name and continues to contact you, write NiteFlirt’s customer support team with his prior name and a screen shot of your block and his new one and ask them to remind him of their policies.
